Anthropic just released Claude Sonnet 4.6, a big update to its mid-tier AI model. This new version is much better at things like coding, using apps, and long-term reasoning than the last one. It can hold a lot more text at once in a single request, which helps it understand big projects like long documents or codebases all at once instead of in pieces. Many early users say it feels more accurate and easier to work with. Sonnet 4.6 is now the default model for both free and paying users, and the price has not changed.
